A CITY OF MY DREAMS, by Craney Subscribe to rss feed for Craney

I live in Toronto now. I know: it is far of being be a
paradise. Something has to be fixed or simply eliminated
down and up here. However, it doesn’t prevent me from
dreaming, and my imagination still does not want to leave
me. I want to tell you about the city which I have been
dreaming of for some period of time. This city is handsome
with very developed social and educational system.
The fall is knocking the window, and a beautiful, full of
trees and shrubs city meets a new day. Giant skyscrapers
with sixty or more floors give the city advanced urban
appearance. Some of those buildings contain eight bedroom
condominiums; other condominiums have two floors with three
or more bathrooms. Materials: concrete, bricks, and glass,
which buildings are made of are very good thermo and sound
isolators. Minimum garbage is in and outside the buildings.
Friendly people across the streets are always willing to
help each other: to point the way or to help old ladies
carry their heavy stuff. Yes, people in the city and in even
the entire country tend to trust each other. Dishonesty is
considered to be a great sin, so people, in particular in my
city, are mostly honest people.
People pay huge taxes, but they know that it worth the dice.
The government provides their citizens with smooth long
lasting roads, very well developed medical and social help.
City is full of prolific public and private schools. It does
not matter whether your child attends private or just a
public secondary school you still have to pay a fee. The
difference is that in private community you have to pay
considerable amount of money while in the public one
relatively small: $200 - $800 for year. This mandatory
project that any education is not free of charge was
recently established by the government. The principle of
school: if a person wants to get low-quality job such as a
labor, fork lift operator, or cleaner he or she has to pay a
minimum fee for education at private school - $200. In that
case, a person does not have to pay much attention to
science, literature and mathematics. In order to get access
to college or even university a person has to set up for
more expensive courses of science, art, linguistics and
math. However, independently of what kind of program she or
he gets all students are strongly required to participate in
sport activities and learn how to drive. Of course, if a
person wants to get really valuable package of knowledge and
develop her or his unique skill, she or he has to study at
private school. At private school a person learns how to
make her or his process of study very effective, how to
develop a person’s mind and body. In all schools pupils
learn how to behave, how to be discipline and be
responsible. However, not all schools are excellent – my
city is supposed to be pretty realistic.
Branches of YMCA help people find their job and how to
survive. In fact, in most case it is out of question to find
a really prestige job if you haven’t visited YMCA and made
your resume by your own. If employer saw that your resume
does not have any connection with any government branches,
he or she would assume that you most probably made up the
story about yourself. Also, an employer would think that
your reluctance to visit YMCA is associated with something
which could spoil entire image about you. They don’t know
whether you a felon, or just simple honest guy. Only one
thing they would know, your resume and you don’t have any
evidence to be proven. In YMCA things go a different way.
Here experts observe your studying and working history, your
physical and mental capabilities, and your personality.
According to their view they create the resume specially for
you, and give you the code number of the resume. Then, when
you give your resume to alternate employer he or she, could
verify it in the main net. In that case, employer feels more
relaxed to hire you. Of course, if even experienced people
could see how professional and knowledgeable you are, how
could employers doubt in you true abilities? If time goes on
and you still have not received any message from companies,
go to YMCA again. People of YMCA will make the companies
where you send information about yourself talk. They will
point the companies that you a person who is out of job for
long period of time, and he is available at any time. If the
situation is ominous, and you still don’t work, YMCA
estimates your welfare and sends you to another branch.
Always remember that the government will not let you die on
the ground. You will get food from the food bank. The
government will also provide you with free health service.
If you are an alumnus of university and have strong proof
that no job for you is available, only because you studied
hard you deserve to get additional bonus from welfare. Bonus
is not high, but it helps. If you don’t want to be on the
shoulder of government, (welfare is still not high enough to
have a satisfactory, not ominous life), YMCA would try first
to reserve a place for you at one of working branches which
doesn’t have direct reference to your position. In this
case, you would receive fast training program. Once you
passed, the job for you is guaranteed.
Living in the city identical to my, you would have much more
opportunity to have deserved education and a favorite job.
You entire life would be more reliable. I hope that once
upon a time this city, which is very similar to mine, would
be Toronto.
