I woke up late this morning
Couldn't get the will to get out of bed.
When I do I make my coffee and sit on the stoop
Watching the puddle splash with raindrops that aren't
there.

Crawled back under my covers and slept a till you came home
Bills not paid and dinner not made but that doesn't matter.
I feel your cold hands slip under my hair and touch my
waist
When we make love the snow melts off the window sill.

Our embrace is sticky and comfortable
I don't ever want you to leave me again.
Kiss my lips so these tears don't fall so willingly
We die a little inside and it makes life a little easier.

I love you and I know you love me too
Living only for the nights and to lay in your arms.
Once we are dead we won't ever have to be apart again.
So kiss my mouth and slice my throat wide open forever.
