Hope For Someday, by BrwnEyes Subscribe to rss feed for BrwnEyes

You’re sitting there with vacant eyes.
Why have you shut me out?
Why aren’t you sad?
Are you afraid to cry?

I slide over on the couch,
Hesitant, and aware.
I lift my hand up,
And run my fingers through your hair.

I want to speak,
To say something to help.
But I know that words…
They won’t break this shell.

So, I sit here with you,
Silence all around us.
Basking in the agony,
This tragedy has brought us.

I close my eyes,
Turning my head away.
Wishing that these scars would heal,
Hoping that we'd be ok, somehow... Someday

This is really good. I really like the way you have written it. :)
