What can I do?(4), by ~~~~GLOSTARG~~~~ Subscribe to rss feed for <font color= ~~~~GLOSTARG~~~~ ">

What can I really do?
It's hard enough to carry my own load everyday.
I feel your pain, but I can't carry you.
It's all I can do to carry myself...
At times I can't.

I think of the life I have before me
I look at my life in the past.
It grieves my heart to feel the hoplessness in you.
But I hold out my hand to help you and
you pull me down into the deep.

That's when I feel my life slowly slipping away.
It's just not right to die for another is it?
some people make such mistakes!
You may call it sin? I don't know...
But who really wins?

When I count the cost of my Toys
in this playing field called life...
who's the real benefactor?
You told me once, "It's the one with the most toys at the
end of this life who wins the game."

Is it all that worthless
to place our life value on something we can touch?
what about...
when we die?
where's the touch?
where's the toys?
Are they left for other girls and boys?

The only help I have comes in the way of prayer,
There's no use asking you for help mom,
for you don't seem to really care!

I have only one good memory
and it's burned into my mind..
a time when you met Jesus at Calvary
and His Love came just in time!

He reached out his arms to greet you,
as tears fell from your eyes, and
I gasped to see you kneel there,
for I didn't have the ability to cry.

That Joy I then witnessed on your face, Mom...
It has driven me here today
to tell you there's still hope in Calvary
with God's Love all along the way!
What can I do?
I'm telling you!
