Nature, part one, by Cherie Subscribe to rss feed for Cherie

I look beyond
The white clouds
And the birds elegantly
Soaring through invisible passageways
And I see a blue sheet of paper.
On that paper is born a plan,
Perhaps for a new world coming soon,
Ready to be created from scratch.

I look through
The shadows of the trees
And the four-leaf clovers
That welcome newcomers to the world
And I see what others do not.
I can imagine what it would be like
To be stuck in that shadow,
Forever pushing, yet forever pulling.

I look into
The eyes of a cunning red fox
Its pupil shining
With the center of the Sun
And I see not a foe, but a friend.
I sit beside him, noticed but untouched.
The red fox is my new friend.
