To See Through My Eyes, by Charlie Subscribe to rss feed for Charlie

As a child, I sat in silence watching my world of Mermaids
and flying carpets swirl around in my imagination. I've
seen monkeys that talk and true love transform ugliness into
beauty.

As a young teen, I sat with a whisper on my breath that
never was heard. I saw troubled youth come into my families
lives and changed us forever. I saw struggle, defiance,
laughter, and heartbreak through the walls of education.

Now almost twenty years old, I sit and watch with a small
voice that is rarely heard. I see lifetime friends
struggle, a family almost torn apart, responsibility,
carelessness, and tears. But through all my years, even
though there are not many, there is laughter, hard work,
silliness and smiles. But the most I see now is continual
true love, in all its shapes and forms.

Oh, if only you could see through my eyes.
