Portrait of an Angel, by beccamarie Subscribe to rss feed for beccamarie

The sun is shining on my face
I feel the love with swelling grace
I look into your sky blue eyes
See within the dwelling lies
I fill with love fill with hate
Don't try now its much too late
You've lied before you'll lie again
I musn't worry its your sin.
Yet all these lies deceits and wrongs
Were aimed at me for all too long
Listen to the stories do tell of me and mine they banish to
hell
You painted a portrait of a girl not me
Let it hang on the wall for all to see
For though the artist wrong and bitter
In mine eye there be a glitter
Someday a wonderful creature will come
Walk forward he will and tell you some
"This girl is not of what we see,
Her beauty surpasses that of thee.
You've wronged her ripped her and tortured her soul.
Down you need climb a hell hole.
Heavenly creature come to me,
Let me see the beauty of thee.
How long hath he hid it? How long were you beat?"
"Only as long as I let him defeat.
I knew someday that you'd be here.
To give me thy love and thy cheer,
You would save my soul, rescue my mind.
For that sir, I find you are kind.
That hateful bastard, that sorry ass.
But you've thrown him down upon the grass.
You stood above told him "crawl away" Walked away and there
he lay
To let him think and ponder of what he did bad,
Weep and cry as he finds what he once had."
But the beauty within pass by
Those who makes others weep and cry.
Happiness sees past masks of good
And walks to those of Anglehood

I really like this poem! it seems to have a scent of shakespearian essence with a touch of mystical glitter.nice combination of emotions, love and angelhood!
