Reaching Out, by Trish Subscribe to rss feed for Trish

I stretch out my hand into the darkness
Afraid of what might be there
I wiggle my fingers in the inky black
Trying to feel for anything
But still afraid of what I might touch

Will it be friend or foe
I'm not sure for how much longer
I can keep my hand out in limbo
Afraid of rejection
Fearful of acceptance

I layed an offer on the table
not knowing if you would laugh
I hope that you like the idea
The one of being there
Of being a part of something bigger

But what does you being there mean
Not for me, but everyone involved
Did I make the right decision
Or is this a big mistake
I guess we'll just let fate be fate
